It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Maurice Dykes Jr. (Chesapeake, Virginia), who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Dykes, and Octavia Odom Dykes, Sr.; his former wife Norma Jean Dykes; and his brothers, Curt and Gary Dykes.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Dykes; his children, Mark Dykes (Kimberly), Mike Dykes (Patrice) and Marla Herndon (Keith); and his sister Patricia Montgomery (Chuck). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
