It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Briggs Earnhardt of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William T. Briggs and Polly Briggs; her son Larry Earnhardt; and her husband Allen J. Earnhardt. She is survived by : her son Steven Earnhardt (Janan) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her grandchildren, Dustin Earnhardt of Greenville, SC and Lindsey Earnhardt Dean (Darren); her great grandchildren, Ethan Dean and Wesley Dean of Roswell, GA; and her siblings, Celia Summitt of Salisbury, NC, Gerald Briggs (Marylou) of Salisbury, NC. and Garland Briggs of Salisbury, NC.. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren and was a wonderful mom and grandmother.
