He is survived by: his wife Dr. Marie Mayoya; his children, Diane Ngabire (Clayton Somers), Dr. Juste Eric Munezero (Colombe Munezero) and Claire Mahoro; his grandchildren, Mason, Natalie, Emmanuel Somers, Maya, Layla Ngabire and Noah Jean-Mevin Munezero; and his brothers, Emmanueli Nyanduza and Pamphile Nikowambereye (Bernazita). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
