She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Odell Piland and Dorothy Loretta Brinkley; her child Bummer Armstrong; and her sisters, Alfreda "Rita" Lassuy and Francis "Dinky" Seconder.
She is survived by: her husband Gordon Armstrong of Chesapeake, VA; her daughters, Candy Simmons and Dawn Morris; her grandchildren, Casey Simmons, Korey Simmons, Kevin Simmons, Brooke Morris, Jackson Morris and Carleigh Simmons; and her siblings, Shirley Rigdon (Charlie), June "Coosie" Kilby (Rufus), Horace "Penny" Piland (Debbie), Debra Kay Rich, Albert Rich (Bonny), Connie Marshall, Gwen White (Rhett), Sheila Bryant (Billy), Jennifer "Jinky" Davenport (Louie) and Tommy Armstrong (Marie). She is also survived by her husband, daughters and grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Kempsville Christian Church to help share the Gospel of Peggy's Lord Jesus Christ.
