It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rena C. Costner of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on June 14, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Nathan Costner; her parents, Mills Jasper and Sarah Hope Cullins (Drury); and her brother Mills Jasper Cullins, Jr. (Sonny). She is survived by: her daughters, Sara Costner Whynot (Norman), Mahone Bay, Janet Costner Simpkins and Virginia; her grandchildren, Julie Taylor (Neil), Rachel and Nathan Whynot; her great grandchildren, Kylie and Connor Taylor; her sister-in-law Carolyn Cullins; and her aunt Carolyn. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
