Sarah Annie Pettrey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2021, at the age of 86, Sarah Annie Pettrey of Chesapeake, Virginia, born in Elgood, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Blankenship and Barbara Ellen Conner Blankenship; her husband Jackie Ray Pettrey; her children, Larry, Barbara and Sherri Lynn; and her siblings, Verley Chambers, Mary Martin, Pansy Whittaker, Bill, Jack, Lee, James, Sidney, Joe, Arlie and Lewis Blankenship.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn "Chubby" Blankenship, Deborah Land and Patricia Canup; her sister Martha Dawley; her grandchild Fifteen; and her niece Pat Shorter. She is also survived by Fifteen great- grandchildren and Four great-great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Due to the mandate by the Mercer County Board of Health, masks are required along with social distancing.
