He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Smith and Irma Vivian Smith; and his sister Vivian Bess. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Smith; his children, Timothy Smith, Ted Smith and Tammy Gould (Chris); his stepdaughters, Irene Cunningham (Jerry) and Rachel Richey; and his brothers, Randall Smith and Robert Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be offered to the American Cancer Society.
