She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Young and Thelma McPherson Young; her husband David E. Hylton Sr.; her son Wayne K. Hylton; and her siblings, Esther Piatt, James Young, Arnold Young, Juanita Bryant, Dorothy Andrews, Ralph Young, Frank Young, Gloria Young and Joan Young.
She is survived by: her son David E. Hylton, Jr. (Carol); her son-in-law Patrick Evans-Hylton; her brothers, William Young (Jane), Morris Young and Kenneth W. Young (Daphne); her grandsons, Kenneth W. Young II (Becky) and Jason E. Young (Kari); and her great grandchild Zane David Young. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
