She is survived by: her husband Robert D. Witherspoon; her siblings, Betty Baker (Preston) and William Childres (Karen); her children, Robert D. Witherspoon, II (Cathy), Virginia W. Layne (Darryl) and Mary E. Allen (Jeffrey); and her grandchildren, Robert D. Witherspoon, III, Joseph T. Layne and Laura L. Layne. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
