She was predeceased by : her parents, Lawrence Cherrix and Louise Cherrix (Lewis); her husband Bernard Lowton; her son Robert Birch, III; and her brothers, Royce Lee Cherrix, Robert Cherrix, Sammy Cherrix and Buddy Cherricks.

She is survived by : her son Thomas Birch of Chincoteague Island, VA; her granddaughter Nicole Birch of Pocomoke City, MD; her great grandchildren, William Curtis of Pocomoke, MD, Jordan Curtis of Pocomoke, MD, Haylee Curtis of Pocomoke, MD and Austin Ritchey of Pocomoke, MD; and her siblings, Eva Jean Pruitt of Greenbackville, VA and Johnny Cherricks of Chincoteague Island, VA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
