He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lewis and Susie Lewis; his sons-in-law, Turner Taylor and Coley Beasley; his sister Gail Richardson; and his granddaughter Sarah Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn; his daughters, Angie Fairhurst (Devon) and Tonya Lambirth (Rich); his grandchildren, Chris Beasley, Courtney Kopplin (Coleby), Ashley Beasley and Meghan Taylor; his great grandchild Liyah Beasley; and his siblings, Herbie Lewis (Susie) and Birdie Lewis (Kenny). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salyer Funeral Home (6327 Church St, Chincoteague, VA 23336). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the John Taylor Memorial Cemetery (31189 Temperanceville Rd, Temperanceville, VA 23442).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oak Hall Rescue or Riverside Shore Hospice.
