He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Helms Wrenn; his mother Beatrice Wrenn; his sister Sandra Loan; his son John Steven Wrenn; and his stepson Tim Huff.

He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Sartin; his stepdaughter Roxanna Garrett (Terry); his siblings, Lois Loan, Bill Wrenn and Jack Wrenn (Dee); his sisters-in-law, Hilda Helms, Lelia Helms and Vicki Helms; and his close friends, Jerry and Delores Gilley. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
