It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miller Josephus LaRue of Christiansburg, Virginia, who passed away on May 13, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe LaRue and Lettie LaRue; his siblings, Roy, Claude LaRue, Revie Connor, Ginger Brewer and Kathy Dowdy; and his grandchildren, Samantha Ann Foster Casto and Eric Wayne Volner.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wright LaRue; his children, Billy Joe LaRue, Jane LaRue and Joy Volner (John); his daughter-in-law Maryann LaRue; his sisters, Anna McCrickard (Jack) and Debra Merrix (Junior); and his close friends, Les Fisher and Dean Nunley. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren (and spouses), numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Christian Growth Center.
