He is survived by: his daughter Whitney Edwards of Creedmoor; his grandsons, Aaron Lee Edwards and Bryant Rivers Hartman; and his sisters, Sandra Edwards of Creedmoor, Edna Atwater of Indian Beach and Betsy Faucette (Jeff) of Creedmoor.
