He was predeceased by : his parents, Charlie Marshall Sneed and Beatrice Bailes Carlton; his brother Hogan Marshall Sneed; and his stepfather Robert Edward Carlton. He is survived by : his girlfriend Carolyn Powell Godfrey; his brothers, Michael Adam Sneed (Mary) of Skipwith, VA and Rob Tracy Carlton (Shelley) of Buffalo Junction, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Adam Sneed, Jr., Zachary Wilson Sneed, Jacob Wayne Carlton, Andrew Edward Carlton, Mason Trey Carlton, Hailey Anne Carlton and Adelle Bayne. He is also survived by great niece; a great nephew; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dan's death was the result of an unexpected complication due to a non-COVID-related illness.
