He was predeceased by : his former life partner Patricia Gail Blackwood; and his son Steven Bruce Blackwood. He is survived by : his wife Virginia Blackwood; and his children, David, Randall Blackwood, Jr., Todd, Barry, Danny Cottrell and Paulet Miller.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
