He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie F. and James O. Hounshell, Sr.; his siblings, Violet D. Hounshell, Ralph R. Hounshell (Betty), Cecil S. Hounshell and Howard M. Hounshell; and his brother-in-law Al Shaheen.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Keckley (Virginia); his sons, Scott Monroe Hounshell (Penny) and Monte Jay Hounshell; his grandchildren, April Nicole Burke (Brian), Amy Leigh Lewis (P. J.), Andrew Scott Hounshell (Tiffany), Adam Stewart Hounshell (Nichole), James Asbury Hounshell (Devon) and Kollin Asbury Hounshell; and his sister Frances C. Shaheen.
