Doris Averill Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Averill (Clifton Forge, Virginia), who passed away on September 7, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Downey and Carlos Johnson Kelly Downey; and her husband Wayne Eben Averill. She is survived by: her sons, Michael Averill of Clifton Forge and Darrell Averill (Marie) of Buena Vista; her sisters, Mary Nicely of Clifton Forge and Juanita Kern of Covington; her granddaughter Emily Michelle Averill of Covington; and her stepgrandson Christopher Fix of Buena Vista. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Low Moor Presbyterian Church, 204 Old Church Rd, Low Moor, VA 24457.
