He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Dudley Putnam, Sr. and Patricia Lowman Putnam; and his brothers, James Edward Putnam and John Francis Putnam. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Warf (Bruce) of Oriskany, Megan Wilson (Jason) of Clifton Forge, Ashley Morales (Luis) of Roanoke and George Andrew "Andy" Putnam, Jr. (Samantha) of Iron Gate; his stepson Aaron Smith of Clifton Forge; his siblings, Lucy Sanchez (Hugo) of Houston, TX, Dennis Putnam (Betty) of Clifton Forge and David Putnam of Clifton Forge; and his nephew Jason Kibbe. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Shenandoah Autism Center, 2419 Valley Ridge Road, Covington, VA 24426.
