She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Franklin and Virginia Remley Franklin; her brother Donald Franklin; and the father of her child Ralph Roland Dew. She is survived by: her son Dennis Dew (Peggy) of Iron Gate; her sisters, Mary Bowman of Harrisonburg and Laura Wilbarger of Florida; and her granddaughter Leigh Ann Snead. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
