She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Raymond and Oakley Rhea Shinault; her siblings, Raymond Shinault, Thearl Shinault, Walter R. Shinault, Jr., Corine Whiteside, Margaret Forbes and Larnie Conner; her aunt Lillie Shinault; and her grandson Mark Hefner.
She is survived by: her husband Calvin Bradley Hefner of Staunton; her children, Evelyn Marie Underwood of Smithville, TN and Glenn Edward Hefner of Marshallton, DE; her grandchildren, Joy Darnell Hefner of Marshallton, DE, Shawn Hefner of China and Kelly Harrington (Michael) of Wilmington, DE; her great grandchildren, Morgan Hersley (Andrew) and Madison Hefner; and her niece Sonja Gavio of Goshen.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to First Assembly of God Church, 1610 Oak Hill Avenue, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
