He was predeceased by : his father Leon Pannell; and his brothers, Rex Pannell, John Pannell and Eddie Pannell. He is survived by : his mother Annis Pannell; his son Bradley Nixon; his siblings, Ricky Pannell (Wanda), Marty Pannell (Lynn), Douglas Funk (Tracey) and Melinda Nixon (Roy); his aunt Faye Buchanan; and his pet Annie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
