It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ulysses E. Funk (Coeburn, Virginia), who passed away on January 25, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Funk and Ollie Jane Funk; and his brothers, Paul (Lola Funk), Fred Funk, Alex (Dixie Funk), Emmitt Funk, Hoover (Ava Funk), Douglas Funk, Bascom Funk (Rosemary) and Bruce Funk (Linda).
He is survived by : his sister Julie; his brother-in-law Winfield Burke; his sisters, Effie, Alma and Leona Funk; his significant other Nancy Jordan Funk; his children, Joseph Funk (Cindy), Teresa Sutherland (Kevin) and Ruthie Rainey; his grandchildren, Amber Snapp (Samuel) of Charlotte, NC, Heather Honi Arnold (Chuck) and Reagan Rainey (Kelsea) of Morristown, TN.; his great grandchildren, Jake, Daniel and Isaac Snapp; his sisters-in-law, Mildred Salyers and Bertie Funk; and his close friend Gary Kiser (Carol).

In Lieu of flowers, he would say, "don't waste your money, give it to someone that needs it or pay your bills".
