She was predeceased by : her husband Bascom Slemp Funk; her sons, Samuel Funk and Donald Funk; her parents, Jackson E. Smith and Irene Kennedy Smith; and her siblings, Delbert Jackson Smith, Joan Childs and Ruby Jane Gouge.

She is survived by : her children, Joel Funk (Shirley), Jeff Funk (Bobbie), Tony Funk (Anne) and Karen Hamilton Funk; her daughter-in-law Sharon Funk; and her sisters, Faye Mullins, Joyce Caldwell, Jettie Caldwell (Ronnie), Carolyn Armstrong (James) and Susie Salyer (Rex). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
