It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean McDonald Clayton of Colonial Beach, Virginia, born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Goldie McDonald (Ada Bell Bowen McDonald) and Betty; her siblings, Gladys Elmore, William M. McDonald and Dorothy Mae Huffman; and her husband Lawrence Thomas Clayton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Ann Presendo and Ronald L. McDonald; her children, Terry, Douglas (Linda), Linda (Daniel) and Lawrence (Kim); her grandchildren, Robert Corder Jr., Roger Corder II, Ronald Corder, Christopher Clayton, James Clayton, Cody Clayton, Savannah Clayton, Douglas Jocham, Johnathan Jocham and Brittany Gallahan; and her children, Roger Corder Jr., Lillian Corder, Elizabeth Corder, Robert Corder III, Lillyan Lemons and Aiden Carrington.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel (11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Comfort Cemetery (6600 S Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306).
