He was predeceased by : his wife Evelyn Shay Gillispie; his parents, James Owen Gillispie and Nellie Smith Gillispie; his great grandchild Brynlee Hicks; his sisters, Carolyn Gillispie and Deloris McCaleb; and his half-brother Harry Walton.
He is survived by : his sons, Bobbie Lee Gillispie, Jr. (Robin) of Covington and John Gillispie of Covington; his grandchildren, Heather Gillispie Hicks (Dusty), Courtney Amanda Gillispie Vess (Patrick), Adam Lee Gillispie (Krista), Jared Kurt Gillispie (Tiffany) and Charles Bryan Gillispie (Katie); his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Lily Grace Hicks, Savannah Grace Gillispie, Ava Faith Gillispie, Zeke Gillispie and Raelyn Shay Gillispie; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Wyatt Randozzo and Smiley Ryan Bowers; his brother-in-law Curtis McCaleb; his niece Sherry Shaw (Terry); and his nephews, Brian Gillispie and Michael Gillispie.
