He was predeceased by: his father Jay Edward Whitehead Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Sharp Whitehead; his mother Ruby Louise Wright Whitehead; his daughter Courtney "Waterhead" Whitehead Dillman (Bradford); his parents-in-law, Roy and Anita Sharp; his pet Riley Ann; his brothers, Jay E. Whitehead, Jr. (Patricia) and Dennis Lee Whitehead (Debbie); and his siblings' children, Bryan Michael Whitehead, Jennifer Whitehead Dennis (Ray), Melissa Whitehead and Tiffany DeLoof (Brandon). He is also survived by several great nieces; one great nephew; numerous cousins; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests memorial contributions in Gary "Boo Boo" Whitehead's name be made to Alleghany Highlands Kiwanis Scholarship Fund, Post Office Box 902 Covington, VA 24426.
