He is survived by : his wife Shirley Shadwell; his children, Larry Smith of Criders and Kaylette Carter of Criders; his grandchildren, Ory Daniel Smith, Patrick Wayne Smith, Jessica Carter and Rachel Carter; and his great grandchildren, Skyler Smith, Sequoia Moore and Jalyn Carter-Williams.
