It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jamie Jeanette Lindsey Hinkle of Crockett, Virginia, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Buchanan and James Calvin Lindsey of Rural Retreat, VA.; her grandparents, Nora Grubb, Charles Buchanan, Margaret Hackler and Martin Lindsey Sr.; and her brother-in-law Jerry Hurt.
She is survived by: her siblings, Phyllis Hurt, Calvin Lindsey (Terri) and Linda Vaught (Curtis); her aunt June Huffard; her siblings' children, Rick Hurt (Monica), Chad Vaught (Kim), Meredith Fiscus (Pete), Melinda Heintzinger (Matt), Cameron Vaught (Terri) and Devin Lindsey; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler, Sydney, Michaela, Madison, Chloe, Annabelle, Morgan, Delaney, Makenzie and Jamie; and her cousin Sidney.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (514 S Main St, Rural Retreat, VA 24368). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Mountain View Cemetery (343 Mountain View Ave, Rural Retreat, VA 24368).
