She was predeceased by : her mother Josephine Minor; her son James Chambers, Sr.; her parent Broadus David Minor, Jr.; and her grandparents, Janie Newman Minor, Herman and Virginia Coleman.

She is survived by : her children, Cleveland Chambers (Nikki) and Angela Simms (Bryant); her grandchildren, Tiffany Penn, Spicy Penn, James Chambers, Jr., Tavon Chambers, DeShawn Latimer, Douglas Cooke, Davon Simms and DeShown Clark; her great grandchildren, Savon, Gi'mare, Saniya, Amiyah, Terrance, Sierra, Sebastian and Amari; her siblings, Janie Pendelton (Mitchell), Josephine Yates (Nathaniel), Rocky Joe Minor (Carolyn), Diane Bowles, Danny Minor (Clara) and Vicky Minor; and her uncle David S. Minor.
