Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Arthur Anthony Blackwell of Danville, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 70, on September 15, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Albert Blackwell and Beatrice Mitchell Blackwell; and his brothers, Daniel Carson Blackwell, Jerry Keith Blackwell and Carl Irvin Blackwell.
He is survived by: his daughter Nichole Marie Williamson of Leesburg, Georgia; his grandson Artemus Ross Gwynn III; his siblings, Mary Francis of Clemmons, NC, Brenda Beebe (Scott) of Stafford, VA and Thomas Albert Blackwell of Ruffin, NC; his uncle Roosevelt Blackwell of Norfolk, VA; and his aunt Zueleanor Sessoms of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 3 to 8 p. m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. (Per CDC Guidelines: Facial Masks are required).
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations may be made in Arthur's name to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
