It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hugh Irvin Mitchell Jr. (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on September 14, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Hugh "Major" I. Mitchell; and his brother Douglas Wayne Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Faye Mills Mitchell; his daughter Teresa Horne Cannon; his brother Roger Lee Mitchell (Jane); his grandsons, Chad Horne (Melissa) and Tyler Scott Cannon; and his great grandchildren, Braylen and Aubrey Horne. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to The Gideons International or to Project Nehemiah at PO Box 777, Hixson, TN 37343.
