It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Owen (Danville, Virginia), born in Halifax, Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Grayson Owen and Helen Shelton Owen; and his brother Preston Owen. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Hylton Owen; his sons, Patrick Shane Owen of Ringgold, VA and Joshua Reagan Owen; his siblings, Frank Owen of Chester, VA, Jerry Owen (Vickie) of Providence, NC, James Owen of Ringgold, VA, Paul Owen of Ringgold, VA and Judy Marie Owen of Danville, VA; and his sister-in-law Elinor Owen of Richmond, VA.. He is also survived by the youngest of six boys, with the sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that. Memorial donations be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 2500 Westover Drive, Danville VA, or God's Pit Crew and Danville Life Saving Crew.
