She was predeceased by : her parents, Haywood Bruce and Elsie Bradley Bruce; her husband William Garland Younger Sr.; and her siblings, Christine Carter and Curtis Bruce.

She is survived by : her children, Jacqueline Younger, Angela and William G. Younger Jr. (Gina) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Jerian Younger (Brittany), Raina Butler and Kourtni Younger; and her sisters, Sadie Motley of Danville, VA, Elsie Beasley of Danville, VA, Mildred Calloway of Philadelphia, PA and Willie Mae Tucker of Lansing, KS.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Kentuck Missionary Baptist Church (1080 Kentuck Church Rd, Ringgold, VA 24586).
