He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Yates Bennett; his sons, Ryland Mark Bennett (Nancy) of Gainesville, VA and Dudley Scott Bennett (Jeannie) of Danville, VA; and his grandchildren, Kathryn Bennett, John Bennett (Cat), Cameron Bennett and Ryland Lee Bennett.

The family suggests memorials may be made to God's Pit Crew, 2499 N. Main St, Danville, VA 24540 or to the Kentuck Baptist Church Building Fund, 1845 Kentuck Church Road, Ringgold, VA 24586.
