She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Ferrell and Bessie Glass Ferrell; her spouse Royal Douglas Barley; and her brothers, Mack Ferrell, Jack Ferrell and Willie Ferrell.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Faye Callands of Danville, VA and Rawleigh Barley (Deborah) of Dry Fork, VA; her brother John Preston Ferrell (Betty) of Danville, VA; and her brother-in-law Callie Barley. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
