He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Edward Dobbs and Eris Pearl Cowing Dobbs; and his brother Alvin Gene Dobbs. He is survived by: his wife Janet Lynn Dobbs; his children, Elizabeth Lynn Dobbs Gapp (Scott), Edward Stoudt Dobbs (Janice) and Patricia Eris Dobbs; his grandchildren, Edward "EJ" Dobbs, Jr., Matthew Dobbs, Samantha Dobbs, Nora Boyle, Vincent Boyle, Maureen Boyle and Eris Boyle; and his great grandchild Iris Rose Wdowik.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Staples Funeral Home (2300 Nottoway Blvd, Victoria, VA 23974). The military honors will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Amelia Veterans Cemetery (10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia Court House, VA 23002).
