He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Bell Kidd and Ruth Powell Kidd; and his brothers, Foster Kidd and David Kidd. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Beck Kidd; his daughters, Rhonda Kidd Johnson (Donald) and Tammie Kidd Meeks (Don); his siblings, Beatrice Giles and Jimmy Kidd; his grandchildren, Dustin Meeks, Lauren Johnson and Brian Meeks (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Shae Anna and Nash Meeks.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Tunstall Volunteer Fire Dept., 740 Tunstall High Rd, Dry Fork, VA 24549.
