She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie Massengill and Minnie Massengill (Winstead); her husband Lester Scott; the father of her children Cecil Williams; and her siblings, James Massengill, York Massengill, Roy Massengill, Nick Massengill, Elmer Massengill, Alpha Butler, Edna Goins and Annas Hurd.

She is survived by : her children, Darlene Slemp (Edward) of Surgoinsville, TN, Christine Wampler (James) of Gate City, VA, Larry Williams of Surgoinsville, TN, Judy Butler of Duffield, VA, Marlene Moody (Harvey) of Kingsport, TN, Geraldine Williams of Pennington Gap, VA and Eddie Williams (Valerie) of Kingsport, TN; her pet Flossy; and her siblings, Elvis Massengill (Anita), Paralee Goins, Annanell Bledsoe (GC), Clara Gehman and Mary Marshall. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
