We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2025, at the age of 84, Patricia Fravel Newland of Edinburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Patricia Fravel find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Mae Lucas Fravel and Charles Frederick Fravel. She is survived by: her husband James F. Newland Sr.; her daughter Mechelle D. Hullihen (Donald A. Dean Jr.); her stepson James F. Newland Jr.; her stepgranddaughters, Leighton Newland and Aubrey Newland; her sister Shirley F. Wright; and her close friend Jean Whetzel. She is also survived by 5 nephews, 6 nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (4109 Jerome Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824).
