He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Thomas Hackworth and Margaret Roberts Hackworth; his wife Ethel Gowen Hackworth; his daughter Shelby Jean Bond; his brothers, Allen and Marcus Hackworth; and his daughter-in-law Judy Newby.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie G. Hackworth, Arnold G. Hackworth, Jr. (Debra), Brenda H. Thurman, Sandra H. Clark (Chester) and Linda H. Karl (Doug, Sr.); and his brother Billy T. Hackworth. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and family members.
