He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Bruce, Jr. (Leslie) and Crystal; his grandchildren, Devin of Bruce, III, Aaron, Tiffinay, Catherine and Aimee; his sisters, Geraline Avery of Evington, Luwatha Dawkins (John) of Evington, Conseulla Barbor (Vincent) of Evington, Mary Calloway of Evington and Cecilia Hull of Lynchburg; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Johnson (Wayne) of Baltimore, Michelle Patterson (Tony) of Roanoke and Katherine Oulds of Evington. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
