She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy Lewis and Evelyn Mae Dreifus Kniceley; her husband William Bernard "Bernie" Bern; and her siblings, Thelma Pickeral, Guy E. "Brod" Kniceley, Juanita Borden and Janet Giampapa.

She is survived by : her children, Julie Bern Sammons (Mark) and William Bernard "Bernie" Bern, Jr. (Alma); her sister Joy Morgan; her grandchildren, Lindsay Sammons Rutt (Ben), Matthew Sammons (Shaina) and Bryan Sammons (Kristina); and her great grandchildren, Hannah and Evie Rutt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
