He was predeceased by: his parent Kay Frances Haskins; his sons, Jason Haskins and Granville Herndon III; and his sister Eloise Haskins Haymore. He is survived by: his son Carl Hartwell (Rita); his pet Marzipan; his daughter Donja (Emanuel); and his niece Taylor Haymore. He is also survived by aunts, one uncle, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jeffress Funeral Home and Cremation Service (304 Lusardi Dr, Brookneal, VA 24528). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (1303 Mt Zion Rd, Red House, VA 23963).
