He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Penick and Wanda Faye Newton (Lewis). He is survived by: his significant other Margaret Teague; his sons, Kevin Penick (Christa) of Farmville, Ryan Penick (Jadah) of Farmville and Grayson Caddell (Jay); and his siblings, Cheryl Penick, Michael D. Penick and Mitchell B. Newton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and many other loving family members.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shorter Funeral Home (1905 S Main St, Farmville, VA 23901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church (1835 Cumberland Rd, Farmville, VA 23901). A burial was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location.
