He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Sr. Garrett and Willie Ann Banton Garrett; and his sisters, Mary Ann Chappell and Alice Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Janice Spencer Garrett; and his siblings, Bernard (Joan), John (Debbie) and Marie Fowler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shorter Funeral Home (1905 S Main St, Farmville, VA 23901). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery (1835 Cumberland Rd, Farmville, VA 23901).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Meherrin SPCA, Farmville Presbyterian Church or the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
