We are sad to announce that on October 27, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Larry Dean Whitehead of Darlington Heights, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Larry shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Larry farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Whitehead and Irene Whitehead; and his brother James Whitehead (Mary Whitehead). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Whitehead; his children, Kim Butler (Brian) of Farmville and Dean Whitehead (Angie) of Williamsburg; and his stepdaughters, Karen Hinkle (Steve) of Appomattox and Crystal Smith (Larry) of Aulander. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Puckett Funeral Home (115 Covington Ct, Farmville, VA 23901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (918 Darlington Heights Rd, Cullen, VA 23934).
