With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Redd of Fieldale, Virginia, born in Henry County, Virginia, who passed away on December 23, 2021 at the age of 71. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edd Redd and Hattie Johnson Redd; and his siblings, Robert Redd, Sandy Redd, Queen West, Johnsie Redd, Blanche Menefee, Frank Redd and Everleen Hairston.

He is survived by : his children, Letrice Edmonds (Marvin Porcher), Bridget Edmonds (Jeremiah Gaye) and John T. Redd; his grandchildren, Lathan Porcher, Bradley Gaye, Bryson Gaye and Jalani Gaye; and his siblings, Frances Mullins, Leola Pilson, Vernon Easley, Melvin Redd, Larry Redd and Luther Redd. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to the governor's requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing is to be observed when visiting at the funeral home.
