It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou (Defibaugh) Loomis of Fishersville, Virginia, born in Caldwell, West Virginia, who passed away on November 7, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Everette Defibaugh and Lucy Mae Defibaugh (Wiekle); her former husbands, John McAllister, George David Hazelwood, Boyd Bottenfield and John Loomis, Jr.; her daughter Col. Sandra Lou Defibaugh of Salvation Army; her siblings, Eddie Wayne Defibaugh, Janice Ann Defibaugh, Shirley Spicer and Carol Sue Ryder; and her stepson Kevin Bottenfield.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Steven Defibaugh (Linda) of Staunton, David William Hazelwood (Mae) of Crozet and Deborah Sue Morrison (Harold) of Fishersville; her siblings, Franklin George Defibaugh (Anna), Everett Defibaugh (Sandra), George Defibaugh, Millie Trent, Nellie Spicer, Wilma Childs, Hilda Perry and Linda Morehart; her grandchildren, Michael Steven Defibaugh, Janet Lee Simmons, Nicole Ann Hazelwood, Carletta Henderson, Jamie Morrison, Matthew Kerr and Emily Corbman; her great grandchildren, Ashley Defibaugh, Felicia Rexrode, Parker Hylton, Sarah Hylton, Katie Defibaugh, Kaleb Defibaugh, Abby Henderson, Kendrick Morrison, Logan Henderson (Anna), Drake Morrison, McKenzie Sontz Morrison, Sophia Sontz Morrison, Allen Corbman, Irelyn Corbman, Natallie Kerr, Trucker Kerr, Hannah Kerr and Autumn Kerr; her great great grandchildren, Bailey, Ashton, McKinsey and Ryder; her stepchildren, Wayne Loomis, Lisa Randozzo (Bottenfield), Cindy Bottenfield, Boyd Jr. Bottenfield, Brenda Bottenfield-Shoemaker and Bobby Bottenfield; her stepgrandchildren, Arkadia Bottenfield, Jennifer Bottenfield and Michael Bottenfield; and her siblings' children, Vanessa Cropp, Helen Mahone, Wayne Taylor and John Defibaugh.
