He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Barger, Sr. and Lucille W. Barger. He is survived by: his wife Janett A. Barger; his son Douglas Barger (Lisa); his brother Wayne Barger (Nancy); his granddaughters, Heather (Steven) and Kristina (Allen); and his great grandchildren, Kaylie, Natalie, Brielle, Wrenlee and Carson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whitten Timberlake Chapel (7404 Timberlake Rd, Lynchburg, VA 24502). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Virginia Memorial Park (11490 Forest Rd, Forest, VA 24551).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Timberlake Baptist Church Building Fund, 21395 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
